Class Descriptions

Water Exercise

A low‑impact, full‑body workout performed in shallow to chest‑deep water. This class uses movements such as walking, jogging, kicking, and arm exercises to take advantage of the water’s natural resistance. Water Exercise improves cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and balance while being gentle on the joints. Suitable for a wide range of fitness levels.

Aqua Zumba®

This energizing aquatic class combines upbeat music with easy‑to‑follow dance movements in the water. The water adds resistance while reducing impact, creating a fun and effective cardio workout that improves coordination, endurance, and overall wellness. No dance experience required.

S’WET (Strengthening Water Exercise Training)

A higher‑intensity aquatic workout designed to challenge strength and endurance. S’WET incorporates athletic‑style movements and water resistance for a powerful cardiovascular and muscular workout. Best suited for participants who are comfortable in the water and looking for a more advanced aquatic fitness option.

All Water Exercise classes are included with YMCA membership. Schedules are subject to change.
