Dance Classes

Our Dance classes will explore various dance styles such as: ballet, hip hop and jazz. Participants will learn in depth dance technique as well as being given the opportunity to express themselves through movement. 

Get to know the instructor: Liana Segan was classically trained by the Brooklyn, New York based dance company, Dancewave. She has ample experience teaching ballet, hip hop, modern and jazz to students from preschool to college aged.

Ballet

Ages 3-12

Ballet dance focuses on strong technique, body positions, and performance. Classical movement and origin of dance will be explored all while finding one's own unique style of dance. Dress: tights, leo, ballet slippers, hair in ponytail or bun. The last week of the session will be reserved for our Recital. Class held in Multi-Purpose Room at Ironworks. 

Ballet PreK - 4-6 years old
Session Dates: July 13-August 22
Class Days/Times: Tuesdays 4-4:30 p.m. -or- Tuesdays 4:45-5:15 p.m. -or- Saturdays 9-9:30 a.m.
Price: Member: $37; Community: $60

Ballet/Jazz Youth - 7-12 years old 
Session Dates: July 13-August
Class Days/Times:Saturdays 9:45-10:15 a.m.
Price: Member: $42; Community: $70

Hip-Hop

Ages 7-12

Explore movement through hip-hop focused on strong movements and overall attitude. Dress: easy, moveable clothing with tennis shoes. Hair can be down, but it may limit movement. Class is held in Multi-Purpose Room at Ironworks. The last week of the session will be reserved for our Recital.
